Kogent Learning Solutions Inc, based in Daryaganj, New Delhi requires the services of a Copy Editor in the content development / Quality department. The post is available from January 7, 2012. Job Description The preferred candidate would be required to review the high level design, table of content, and chapters of books or any other written documents created by instructional writers and provide suggestive and remedial feedback to enhance the quality. The job would entail reviewing documents to identify and correct issues (or suggest corrections, improvements, and enhancements) in the following domains (indicative): English grammar issues Content clarity, repetition, and redundancy Content relevance and depth issues, depending on the audience profile Awkward sentence constructions Consistency issues General structure and flow of the content Improper content presentation Technical writing and project-based standards conformation issues Other ID issuesThe candidate must also be open to interact with the writers and provide remedial feedback and mentoring to facilitate continuous learning and development of the writers. The candidate must possess excellent command over written and spoken English, the ability to analyze written content and give suggestive feedback to improve the quality, the ability to mentor and guide people on technical writing standards and practices, and be comfortable working with Microsoft Word.-
