Sound Engineer

Currently we have a vacancy for an International School to be based in Chennai Given below is the job profile : Degree in Sound Engineering. Experience with Live sound events.Experience with Audio Recording. Proficiency in written and spoken English.Responsibilities Work carefully with the Theater Manager and Facilities Department to assure a uniform aesthetic as it relates to the Sound reinforcement and Recording for live events on the Campus Must instruct others, including students and staff, in the use of sound and recording equipment. Sound: - Proficiency with Digital Recording.- Demonstrated understanding of intricacies of both live stage sound and recorded sound, particularly relating to live theater performanceo live music performance(Choral and instrumental {large and small group as well as individual})- Proficiency in editing and mixing music live and recorded sound.- Understanding the use of different microphones for different applications.- Ability to work with multiple people from multiple departments with varied expectations.o Music Teachers o Technology Department for Music CDs productiono ES, MS, HS, Administration Video: - Understanding of the basic functions of a prosumer digital video camera.- Understanding of the basic use of Digital video editing software.General: - Must develop and maintain the library of Theater recordings, both audio and video.- Must be willing to train the Theater Electrical and Maintenance Technician to appropriately use sound, and video.- Must show initiative in making the theater a highly functional facility.- Must have a flexible schedule to work evening and weekend events.We are looking for someone with lighting experience as well.Would appreciate if you would send a reply by e mail to careers@nidhireddy.com indicating interest and availability along with the details requested below. 1.CTC 2.ECTC 3.willing to relocate. 4.any particular reasons for job change5.
